I can’t surf, but I can design a brand that will make you want to catch the perfect wave.
My name is Emily, and I’m a designer, brand strategist, and creative director with a knack for merging the past with the present, drawing inspiration from the aesthetics of the ‘80s, ‘90s, and early 2000s.
The basis of my skills come from my background in the surf industry as a visual merchandiser, where I learned to curate spaces and use visual storytelling as a selling mechanism. Through this experience, I’ve seen first-hand how strong branding can shape perceptions and create experiences that leave a lasting impact.
The ocean is my biggest source of inspiration. I admire its strength, fluidity, and resilience—all qualities that I strive to bring to my projects. My work is deeply rooted by my appreciation and respect for the natural world, finding beauty in its simplest forms.
I’m graduating from the University of Tampa this May with a degree in Advertising with a creative concentration, but creativity has always been my thing. My first art sale? A mermaid I painted for a school fundraiser in kindergarten. (Still arguably one of my proudest moments…)
These days, when I’m not designing, you can find me painting (I’ve moved beyond mermaids), flipping through vintage magazines and art books, or sipping on one too many coconut cream lattes.
I am always creating, always learning.
And maybe one of these days, I’ll learn to surf.
